Food is very good!! The guacamole is probably the best I've had. The staff has always been friendly and they are more than willing to make suggestions. It's almost an hour away from my house but I'll make the trip a few times a year.
Had been here a couple of times before and it was pretty good. Tonight it was awful. The food was cold and tasteless. The rice was the worst. When the waiter finally returned to our table I mentioned that the rice was terrible. He said, "Oh, sorry" and returned with my bill. I asked if he told someone about the rice and he said, "Yeah but you're only like the third person here today so it was left over from this morning." There was no offer to make more or to give a discount. Very disappointing. Will not be returning there.
Hit or miss on the food in the 10 or so trips I've made. When they get it right I want to come back and it is top notch but the misses are too often and a year can go by before I want to go back. Great atmosphere and space and good drinks. Worth a shot particularly if you crave Mex food and maybe you'll hit them on a good night. Fish Tacos and queso have been the better options more often than not.
WOW!! What a place! What an experience! I’ve been to my fair share of Mexican restaurants, being three-eighths Mexican myself, and let me tell you, this place is fantastic. The building is unassuming from the outside (as every good, non-chain restaurant seems to be). Upon entering, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere with chic and modern Mexican decor. The food is authentic and perfect (I got the steak tacos) and my house margarita was a pleasure to sip. Service was good for being a full house on a Friday night. All in all a wonderful place - dare I say my favorite Pittsburgh area restaurant?
